Synopsis:
An ancient urn chained to a coffin is unhearted by chance by some men at work along the road bordering the Viterbo’s cemetery. The urn contains an age-old tunic and some objects belonging to Mater Lacrimarum, the Third Mother (Moran Atias). The only survivor of the Three Mothers - three powerful witches who had been shedding blood and terror for aeons - Mater Lacrimarum (the Mother of Tears) has been hiding in Rome for centuries and her awakening triggers a chain of mysterious and terrible events: the Evil is back to cast its dark shadow over the city.
Sarah Mandy (Asia Argento), a young student of restoration, co-worker and love’s interest of Michael Pierce (Adam James), the curator of the Museum of Ancient Art of Rome, is involved in the escalating and increasingly frantic episodes of violence. Sarah tries to run away but she cannot: the Third Mother is looking for her and Sarah is not aware of the fact that her mother Elisa Mandy (Daria Nicolodi) was a powerful white witch brutally killed by Mater Suspiriorum, the witch from Fryeburg.
Helped by the spirit of her mother, by an eminent esoterism academic, Guglielmo De Witt (Philippe Leroy), and by the Chief Constable Marchi (Cristian Solimeno), Sarah realizes that she has no way out and that she must face the impending threat…

Fans of George A. Romero’s classic DAWN OF THE DEAD might not recognize the name Jim Krut but they would immediately recognize his face. Well, perhaps not his face as much as everything slightly above his eyebrows, all of which was memorably torn away by the whirring blades of the WGON helicopter! That’s right, Jim Krut is none other than the uncredited actor now well known to hardcore horror fans as the helicopter zombie!
You saw her piss on the carpet and masturbate with a crucifix at the age of 14, but have you seen her naked? In case you never have you can see horror icon Linda Blair butt-naked here (If you are over 18 and not at work of course!).
You know kids, it MIGHT have been better if Botched was just a flat out terrible movie, because then you wouldn’t spend 90 minutes having your meager hopes time and time again quashed before the credits roll.

We used to have a section on Horror Yearbook called Please Make the Pain Stop!, it was mostly just us bashing “fake scream queens” on the YouTube, but it looks like it is time to bring it back. With After Dark Films producing their own films, and all the crappy remakes, we may need it again.
While legions of “internet critics” are standing ready with their rubber “torture porn” stamps, it is a breath of fresh air that films like Timber Falls are still hitting our DVD shelves. While it features plenty of torture scenes, it is not as explicit as Eli Roth’s Hostel or the Saw franchise; a simple fact that should save it from being stamped with the overused term. However, I am sure that the hordes of overzealous “critics” would be quick to still label it as such.

The days of any kind of genre or cult fan meeting in one place to hang out and share in their enjoyment of whatever it is they enjoy are long gone. The “fan convention” has been replaced by over-stocked and over-priced celebrity worship gatherings. San Diego’s Comic-Con and conventions like Creations Fangoria’s Weekend of Horrors are a who’s who of studio PR machines and washed-up horror “celebrities” in need of a paycheck

Wow talk about stumbling on something great! While I was checking out Transformer star Megan Fox naked (look really close at the second picture you can see her pubic hair) I noticed that the pictures were from a film called Jennifer’s Body. It turns out that Jennifer’s Body was written by Diablo Cody, the woman who wrote Juno, and who can also see naked here. The film is listed on IMDB.com as a “horror/comedy” and it is also directed by Karyn Kusama who directed 2005’s Æon Flux, talk about women power
Gory greetings! Welcome to a very special edition of Brain Hammer’s PICKS FROM THE CRYPT. This week’s PICKS are a terrible trio of cult classic 80’s exploitation flicks from the notorious Spanish writer, producer, and director Juan Piquer Simon. Juan grew up raised on a diet of classic American cinema in his native Spain and considers himself an adamant fan of fantasy, thriller and horror films. Juan Piquer Simon’s efforts are infamous for being so bad, that they’re actually good. Simon has even been called the Spanish answer to Ed Wood.
I’m a huge fan of his flicks, especially the ones featured in this column. Something about the horrible dubbing, the incoherent editing, the incomprehensible plots, the tacky synthesized music; it all adds up to create pure movie magic! For all of their many, many faults, Simon’s flicks are hysterically funny and entertaining as Hell. They also deliver the goods in the splatter and sleaze departments, with plenty of scenes of flesh ripping ferocity. In honor of the one and only Juan Piquer Simon, LET THE BLOODSHED BEGIN!!!

Frat House Massacre sounds like the perfect film for all the ex-high-school nerds who are still bitter about gym glass, hate Eli Roth, and those of you who are still offended by pretty women being stalked and killed in horror films. Turning the tables, Frat House leaves the popular “sorority house” stalking grounds for the lesser traveled male fraternity house, and features plenty of shirtless men being tied up, tortured and killed, but titty hunters don’t fret there is still plenty of female flesh to go around. To see what I am talking about check out the uncensored teaser trailer here or You Tube trailer after the jump.

After Dark Films making their own horror movies is like Britney Spears being in charge of her own career — you should all know how well that went. The HollyWood Reporter reports that: “After Dark Films is producing the first horror films set for its shitty 8 Films to Die For theatrical film series.” Okay I added the “shitty” part, but the majority of horror fans do agree on the fact, that the 8 Films series has been complete garbage up to this point.

Anchor Bay has managed to squeeze all 13 episodes of the Season 2 of Masters of Horror into a friggen’ human skull and are selling this bad boy for about $86.97 to be released on July 29th. It is being discounted to $60.99 if you pre-purchase it. But figure out early on if you want one of these because it is limited to only 15,000 units.
